ok, i had some time on my hands so i thought i would have a look at this divx format (don't know why, my player won't even play them, curious i suppose).
anyway, after reading a few guides and tips i downloaded a program called "easy divx".
managed to get it working and it's encoding a nice little avi as we speak, which i hope will come out o.k.
then all of a sudden i realised i have no idea how to put this eeny weeny avi onto a disc.
had a quick browse through the guides but no joy, so if you divx experts could answer this dumbass question (to which i will probably slap my forehead and call myself names) i would be very grateful

  2. I am not an expert in AVI and rarely do I use it, but I know there is no standard way to put it onto disc.

I guess the best way would be to record it simply as an ISO disc.

sorry, should have explained myself better,
want to put it onto disc that one of those divx compliant standalone dvd players will recognise.
Will an iso image be o.k?

This is what I was thinking of. I don't know the standards for them, but an ISO image (Data Disc in Nero) would be the most probable way.

Just try it out with a CD-RW. (BTW: i'm betting it's only cds with Divx that will work, not dvds).

  6. You just burn it as a data disk.
