  1. I need to know casue im thinkin bout buying in an auction and it ends soon. Does cd-i play vcd 2.0 and if so, does it pay it right now laggyness like playin on Dreamcast or somthin right?

  2. Depends on the player. When I bought my CD-i player in 1994 I had to buy a Digital Video Cartridge to play Video CDs. Later on, to try to increase sales, the cartridge came with the unit - or the memory was built it.

  3. Well does it play vcds well withou super chopiness or lag(ala Dreamcast) or normal like most players?

CD-I players require actually have a hardware Mpeg-1 decoder which is why some require something called a "Digital Video Cartridge" the quality is as good as any dvd player and it supports vcd 2.0 through the software cd-i player that is part of vcd specs. However, I do not believe any freeware vcd disc builder includes a cd-i player (with vcdimager you specify external files).
