  1. im looking for a dvd player that will be region free (hacked or bought region free doesnt matter)

    what is the best one considering price and options?

    component would be a plus

    optical digital audio would be a plus also

  4. I think you should by a CENTRUM DVD, also called BEVERLY HILLS SEG!
    It's so good! and it plays so nice and not silly.

    Plays PAL on NTSC TV with correct aspect ratio.

    NO optical, just coax.
    Need the $50 Sima color corrector to copy DVD to tape.

    Try one of the Philips players (Philips 727 comes immediately to mind, as that is the one that I have). They are made region free via the remote, have component video out, optical digital out, play DVD +/-R, Recoginize MP3 and JPG files on a DVD-ISO burned disk (some players only do that for CD-R). Cost is about $90-$100. Have a look in the DVD player database.
