  1. Hi all,

I'm caturing of a VHS tape. I'm using Vdubsync, but audio and video don't sync at all. If I capture at 352x240 it is ok, but I want capture at 352x480, or 480x480. I have few frames dropeds (0,7%). The CPU's usage stay on 70%. I have a All In Wonder pro, a sound blsater Live 5.1, my mother board is a PV133, VIA chipset. Any hint ?

    Thanks

  2. Might be something as simple as audio offset. In VirtualDub click File, then File Information then read the tab. The length of video time is displayed and so is the audio time. Subtract these two numbers (audio from video). Exa: Video 1:49.59 Audio 1:49.04. You would subtract the two and come up with .55 or 550ms. Close that box, click Audio, then Interleaving, then 'Delay audio track by?' enter your 550 number there and test play the file. If your audio should be longer your number would then be minus (exa: -550). ok.

If it's not offset then it's probably a progressive sync issue, or both. 70% cpu is pretty high, expecially if that's with a 352x240 avi cap. What codec are you using? Have you tried normal ol'e VirtualDub?

    Good luck.

Hi bottle-neck, thanks for your help !

I have problem with a progressive sync. I tried fix it resampling audio at the Soundforge, but it resulted irregular, so didn't work.
In my ultimate test I did run the old vdub. The sync problem still exist, but is regular and I can fix it using resample at the Soundforge, and the final file is great !!!
