This site seems to have a lot of downtime. Rarely do I see other sites have this (from when I surf). I think that this is maybe because I just spend so much time here. Anyway, what are the exact problems that prevent the server from being operational?

Now it is overheating problems.
Other crashes or if the site is slow are usually because of php and mysql, I don't spend enough time testing my code before I use it online....

Baldrick,
I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem, but does PHP keep you advised of problems?
They have a patch posted from 09/10/2003 (US dating).
It may have no bearing on your problems, just thought I'd mention it.
Wish I knew more about it, but can't help.

Try Linux and AMD
Get away from that MS and Intell stuff, if the system crashes you MUST be using MS something
Overheat
I could send you one of those nifty USB fans :P
NO, NO don't delete me. NO not that! I was just joking, honest!!!
You know I have grown to like this site alot, when it has problems like earlier today or the net in general and I can't get to it, I really miss it!
Lately I seem to be here ALOT
No that shock Icon is not shock, it represents my eyeballs after all this reading
Maybe I should get a life
Hope you can get the bugs out, and thanks for the great site! -
I can't change os right now, maybe in the future though. I haven't that good experience with linux or freebsd and i have also used linux before and it crashed every day and I or the webprovider never found the problem(i no longer use that webprovider and i think it was some hardware problem).
I already using amd, intel is too expensive.
I always use the latest stable php, but it wont help if I write bad code or very slow mysql database statements. -
okey and thanks...But I would still rather use linux...because apache is better optimized for it.
