Don't know if this'll help but I have same as you.

If you are getting "source not found" or similar message, you may not know that MovieMill only recognises the Adatptec once a video is playing.

So, start the vcr playing a bit before where you want to capture, click the movie camera icon on Movie Mill -you should then see the source video playing - and get ready to click capture start button where you need to.

    Hope that helps.

  3. Thanks for the suggestion, but it still does not work. I am trying to use Movie Mill 2.0 build 260 USB. I tried both Composite1 & Composite2 input.

  4. I tried the same thinng with may Videoh! DVD and Movie Mill would not recognize it. Maybe the Videoh! is using a different chip than the older units. I just purchased my a week ago.

Oh, sorry that didn't help. Mine says version 2.0, but in properties it shows- 2.0.271.0

and for "build" it says "release", no number. I wonder if that makes a difference? I've had mine for months now & working fine - once I realised I needed to start a tape running first.

I know I have read others saying do not update either the card drivers or MovieMill, or it causes problems. So, I never have.

I got my version of moviemill from a link provided in the Adaptec Videoh DVD review right on this site. https://www.videohelp.com/capturecards.php?CaptureCardRead=Adaptec%20Videoh!%20DVD&Search=Search More info is there, if you haven't seen it yet. Good luck.

  6. I am having a similar issue. However, the new version on this VideOH! product is called "DVD Media Center USB 2.0 Edition" and the only available driver is version 1.1.0.2220, dated 05/16/2003. The device appears in Hardware Manager listed as Adaptec AVC-2310 USB Device, under the Sound, Video & Game Controllers heading.

Media Mill doesn't recognize any capture device on my system, no matter which version I try to use.

Just so we're all on the same page.

  8. Well, I solved my problem by purchasing a Canopus AVDC-100. All the raves are well-deserved. It really makes the Adaptec product look like a POS.
