When I load the source file it says in the log,
"Warning:Source file's last frame incomplete or corrupt stream"
Now this is a direct demux of a TMPGEnc produced MPEG2.
Anyway, I click Start but then get a "Read less bytes than expected error"
The mp2 files play fine in PowerDVD.
All my TMPG produced mpeg2 files also cause my Cool Edit Pro to crash.
thoughts?

A little late on the solution, but better than never.
I was having the same problem, in my case re-encoding mp2->mp2. The solution, as shown in this thread for a slightly different problem, is to set the end frame one frame less than what appears when the mp2 is loaded (just hit the down arrow once). Works like a charm for me.
BTW, don't make the mistake of using TMPGEnc's internal audio encoder - it sucks. I now have to fix a dozen movies because of the poor audio. Too bad they can't improve that or allow an external codec, because it would save me some extra steps to do it all in TMPGEnc at once.

Hi Dan
Thanks for your reply.
I really haven't found the TMPGE audio to be that bad.
Then again, you could listen to my SVCDs and think the audio isn't up to scratch.
I ended up finding a program that could open up the audio from MPEG2 files as a wav.
