hi there,
I am having a problem with subtitles on DVD Maestro.
Some of them dont appear or when they do , then only show up for a little instance, even having a showing time bigger then the time they really last.
Where can the problem be?
They are not overlapping, i´ve checked that.
Is there some kind of rule for the distance between 2 subtitles?
Or can the problem have something to do with the chapter points?
Any help on this issue would be apreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards

How did you create the subtitles? Did you rip them from a DVD? If so, the fact that they appear for very little (when they do), implies bad timing in the subtitle script created by the subtitle ripper.
If you have ripped them, check the script to see if all the subtitles you want are there. It should also contain show/hide times for each. Check if these times correspond with your problem. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know. -
well i´ve found out that the problem was in some of the subtitles the short show time defined on the STL script. in others the problem was that they were overlapping with chapter points and that cant happen, so i´ve modified their show time and in other cases i´ve modified tha chapter point himself.
now all is working fine.
thanks for you time in trying to help me.

Interesting.
I've been setting chapter points on Scenarist and many are on top of subtitle duration. I get warnings from Scenarist when compiling but the subtitles appear on playback normally. The only case when they don't is if I directly skip to the chapter point that's on top of the subtitle duration, which I find normal. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
