HELP: 640x480 divx to svcd? (tmpgenc, bbmpeg, etc.)

Hi,

I just made a slideshow in divx format. It's 640x480 (25 fps). When I try to turn it into an mpeg2 file in tmpgenc, there's only sound and black background. I've also tried bbmpeg and my 640x480 gets cropped to 480x576 PAL @ 25fps. I've lost like 30% of the width of the image What am i doing wrong? Right now, i'm working w/ bbmpeg since it's free.

I've looked around at various user guides and they're all pretty complicated. any suggestions? I basically just want to burn my divx slideshow (about 50mb) to svcd to send to friends w/o a computer. i don't need any fancy menus and stuff.

hmm....i finally got it working. however, it seems as though u'd either need tmpgenc or another program to encode into svcd and those programs aren't freeware.
