  1. To shrink mpeg-1 and mpeg-2, is there any?

    I would like to ask something, i{m working with Windvr for a short time, but i have a problem, when i want to schedule a record it seems no to get the schedules that i make so i have to uninstall the software and install it again and then it work, but after a while, lets say two days, the program erase the schedules so i have to do the unistalling and installing again, any idea?

    Please wait a couple of days before you bump your topic(reply to it).

    You can use tmpgenc to shrink the size, it is called "reencoding".

    I think part of the problem in not getting a response yet is you don't give a clear enough question in your post topic.

    And your 2nd question is unrelated. You'd have better luck if you posted that on it's own with a clear description.

  5. Baldrick is right, here are a few other things to consider.

    If you re-encode, you will most likely lose quality. You can reduce the size if you change the encoding type from constant bitrate to variable bitrate.
    You didn't mention the encoding method in your post.
    You can further reduce the size by re-encoding to Divx.
    But in any event, quality will suffer.
