Here's my problem. I have about six games that were sent to me by a relative the was stationed in europe (Hats off to the men and women of the United States millitary and allies stationed in Iraq). Up until a little while ago, I thought that something was wrong with my Ps2. when I would attempt to play the games, the screen would flicker up and down and the picture was in black and white. I found out later that this was due to the games being PAL. I have a Messiah 2 pro v1.33 installed and I was under the impression that it would allow me to play PAL regioned games; unfortunatley not.

I have tried just about everything with no success. I've wasted a ton of blank media trying to so call patch the games with a NTSC patch using ppf-o-matic, but it didn't work. After applying the patch, the games did not boot at all, unlike the originals which loaded but with flickering and b/w picture. I have a couple of games that my cousin left me while he visited for Thanksgiving. These games had a screen that came up that gave an option to play the game in NTSC, PAL, or PALGO. Not sure how it was done, but I'd choose NTSC and game loaded in color and centered. Is there anyone here who has actually patched, converted or did whatever to get a PAL game to play in NTSC. Can anyone tell me if this patching thing even works. There has got to be something that I can do to play these games on my Ps2.
If you are reading this post and you have successfully patched, converted, or did whatever to play a PAL game on a NTSC Ps2, please don't leave without helping me with this problem.
