I bought this dvd-r media and almost all of the dvd's i have burned with it seem to have spots where the video pixelates, when i have burned the same movie to + media, they are not there so i am guessing it might be crap media.
It says "star media" 1x 2x and this is the name i get with DvdInfo
    Media code/Manufacturer ID: MXLRG01

Isn't MXL a Maxell marker? One thing is sure. Whatever it is, you won't be buying that media again.

That would make a good sticky. All the different media codes so people could refer back to them.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

If you click the DVD Media link on the left you can browse through the codes. Yeah that sounds like maxell but Maxell media is awsome, so I'm willing to bet its some of those fake maxells that are still showing up online.
