  1. Would appreciate assistance. Trying to burn either a dvd or vcd of a file using Express2 which is part of my new Nero 6 Ultra package. I add a video file (ex. mpeg) using the "add video" prompt, using windows explorer. A thumbnail shows on the page. I then enter the Preview page. The thubnail with the title of the vid still shows. When I hit the "play" button on the remote to "preview", the counteron the remote moves but no video shows...it is frozen. The after a few seconds, the entire screen/program freezes. This happens regardless of if I'm trying to burn a dvd or a vcd. Need to use the 3 finger salute to escape!
I'm running windows xp. I do have Roxio Cd Creator version 6.0 installed but I do not have the "scsi1hlp.vxd" file which Nero FAQ indicates could cause conflict. At this point, I really do not want to uninstall Roxio unless it is clear that is the cause of my Neo problem, since I need it to do burning while Nero is not functioning. Reviewed all info on Nero's site but no solution.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you had read the posting from hydrant29 you may have realised that referencing Max is not relevant since he/she is talking about another part of the overall Nero package. A function not available in the Max prog.

May I also say that your rubbishing of Nero and Roxio is purely your own opinion and not necessarily shared by others. Everybody has their own opinions on what is best for them, and nothing is wrong in that but trying to foister them onto others is to be frowned upon. All systems have their merits, and their bad points and what weight they carry depends on your point of view.

hydrant29 it may be that your problem is not necessarily directly related to Nero. I had a similar problem a few months ago and I used Norton Systemworks to run a ful dignostic on my PC. It found several problems and fixed them and my Nero one went with it. I've also installed the Roxio software and found that it didn't like co-habiting with Nero and caused some pretty severe problems. This mostly related to Nero's InCD and the Roxio equivalent and removing both may fix your problem.
