  1. I just got my Pioneer DVR-A06 multi-format burner. If you have this burner or have knowledge of this burner, can you recommend the best low-cost discs for use with it? Thanks.

  2. Sorry, I'm a newbie here. I just found the section under DVD burners that reviews media by drive.

  3. Just because it records on the 06 doesn't mean it will play back on the target device. Media compatibility doesn't just mean being able to write to it at full speed, which is what I would guess you are asking.

There are a great many posts along these lines in the forums, and media list to the left. Use the search function and I'm sure you will find a lot of information that is of use to you.

This would have to be my favourite drive of all. It consistenly provides the most compatible burns of all across all media types tested and gives very good results on very troublesome players. Its DVD+R/RW performance is equal to that of the plus only Ricoh and to this date I have been unable to separate the +R/RW burns.

    Pros
    Consistent quality burns
Compatible with many budget and branded media brands.
Sees and uses more media at faster speeds than any other drive.
Very reasonable cost given its features and quality.

    Cons
    None come to mind.

    Recommendation
    Very high.
You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off.

  8. dvdr-106/A06 w/firmware 1.06 burned DVDS:
    Princo -R 4x
    Primedisc -R 4x ; -RW 2x ; +R 4x
    Sentinel -R 1x
    no problem
    the DVD+R burned w/Nero 6 worked on a PC-DVD that says - no support for DVD+R (asus)
and in a stand alone DVD (Jocel)
    itīs a good drive
