  1. Could someone please let me know how I can convert a 4:3 mpeg2 back to 16:9.

    I forgot to set the aspect ratio in Tmpgenc to "Full Screnn (keep aspect ratio)" when i was converting from the original divx. And stupid me I deleted the avi before i checked the mpeg.

    The file is now full screen, but the image is squashed. I would like to go back to the original 16:9 aspect.

    This is the kind of question we all like to answer...the kind that will immediately and easily clear things up!

    Check out the <---Tools section.
    Should be "DVD Patcher" or "ReStream". IIRC, both of these can do it (without any re-encoding). Restream usually writes to a new file, for safety purposes, so you'll need the extra drive space. Otherwise, they work exactly as you'd want them to.
