  1. what the size pixels does to the movie?
    what the bitrate does to the movie?
    what is VBV buffer size?
    can i "play" with the numbers to get better resolution ?
    if i can resize the resolution can you explain to me how
    i have virtualdub13c. & tmpgenc.

    More pixels = bigger (more detailed screen). If you want standard VCD/SVCD then set at default resolution.

    Higher resolution (also) = bigger mpg file

    More bitrate = less compression artifacts = clearer picture. But like resolution the higher you set it the bigger the file size.

    Not sure about VBV buffer!

    You can resize etc by loading the unlock template in TMPGEnc

    Let me add something. A higher MPEG resolution itself does not effect the file size. A higher resolution requires normally a higher bitrate. That make the filesize bigger.

  4. You're absolutely right Truman, if you increase the screen resolution without increasing the bitrate, you force higher compression and so introduce more compression artifacts.
