HI - got this message yesterday - a friend said that after 30 days you can't encode to MPEG2.
I'm willing to buy the program to get around this, but I can't find anything about it in their website.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

ya know, that's just pathetic. Why do you feel the need to discourage someone from purchasing something?

It's one thing to steal, it's quite another to try and encourage others to do the same.

  5. Your options are to either find a crack or to download again. As far as I can tell you can't buy it yet. I hope when it is ready to purchase the majority of users decide to do so.

    i'd defenatly buy tmpg pro.

to me outright stealing is wrong.

mp3 piriting on the other hand is ok because cds r overpriced. however i would pay 5-10 a month for a file sharing program.

Good luck getting a response. I wrote them asking about that too, and after two months, there's still no response for them.

I'd say just switch over to using bbMPEG once the time limit runs out, and wait until a new version of TMPGEnc comes out. It always resets itself when you install a newer version.

I tried reinstalling the program in order to reset the clock, but that doesn't work. It's not too much of a problem because my DVD player can't handle SVCDs, so I rarely use MPEG-2 encoding.

But by all means, don't try to crack it. That's how we end up losing freeware programs like this: because stupid lamers are too damn lazy to do things the right way.
