Hello,

After many attempts and wasted hours trying to convert video to vcd only to find the audio was way out of synch, I stumbled across standalone divx/dvd players. All I do now is make a data dvd or data cd put it into my new player and hey presto perfect playback!! no probs with audio synch (so far) it has only refused to play one film so far but I can live with that. The size of the picture on the screen depends on the original footage. I get 3 -5 films on a blank dvd-r depending on quality.

No rendering or converting required
Not an answer for everybody I know but suits me fine,

I went for a yamada, althought kiss and liteon do them as well all three have firm updates so should be future proof for a while yet. Plays dvd-mp3 as well, great for £100.
