Hi i`m fairly new to burning movies. I can rip and split dvd`s but i downloaded my 1st Divx/Xvid movie off the net and when i convert it with TMPGenc it comes out with no Audio. The source file plays perfectly but i`m lost at why it won`t convert it. I can convert AVI`s with no prob`s but i`m just alittle frustrated after very lenghty downloading sessions to get one movie for my nephew. Can someone please shed some light, Thanks in advance, Mike.

It probably has a AC3 sound track, which TMPGEnc can't read. Convert to wav and use the wav as audio source in TMPGEnc. Use VirtualDub to extract audio.

PS! Most dled AVI's are crap anyway (lots of bad frames and other errors) so this will most likely not be your only problem in converting the AVI... DS

Thanks Mats, it works, I tried encoding a few minutes of Finding Nemo and it works great. It`s actually a dvd rip of a screener where the quality is perfect, well pretty damn good for a download off the net. Thanks again and have a great weekend, Mike.

Is "Finding Nemo" released on DVD/Video?
If not, please read the Forum rules, and 'specially the following:
    • Do NOT advocate warez.
Warez includes pirate/bootleg movies(movies that are not yet released on DVD or VHS).
