I have a DVD+R that I recorded on a standalone Philips DVDR 75. How do I make a copy on a DVD-R?
Nero doesn't seem to have an option which i thought since it's not copy protected. Do I still need special DVD ripping software?

If would rip the dvd to your hard drive and then copy the files on using your preferred burning program e.g nero

Can I simply copy the directories then? To clarify It's not bigger than 4.7 Gb so I don't want/need to reencode in order to shrink it.

I haven't tried making a copy of a DVD R yet, But I would think all it is now is data, so just copy it all exatly the way it is now from your disk to the hard drive then burn again to what ever disk you want it on.
My thought is it should work like any other disk copy, cd/floppy/hard drive ect. Just files in folders, I think -
Or use DVDDecrypter to copy the file to your HDD in ISO mode and then use DVDDecrypter to burn it to another DVD+R.
