My machine is a generic barebones with 3 PCI slots (no AGP). Been looking at various PCI cards and was wondering the pros and cons of a PCI card vs an AGP card. Can I get the same (or near same) performance form a PCI card or should I consider getting a barebones with an AGP slot? I plan on using it with my sattelite reciever and possibly VCR.

If you plan play some 3D appz/games AGP its ur choice; AGP has more bandwidth than PCI, but remember these aditional bandwidth its intended for memory and many grapical instructions on apps designed for it.
If ur intention its just capturing AGP can be 10%-20% faster than PCI.T-kill-a 4 all...
