Hi everyone. Before I ask my question I wanted to say Thanks to the people who made all those helpful guides and everyone here for all there advice on ripping, converting, capturing, authoring, editing, DVD, SVCD, VCD, MPEG's etc etc etc. My first day learning about this stuff was on Monday and in 3 days of just reading and reading I am able to do almost anything. Just I just wanted to give a BIG thanks to everyone who made this possible.
OK here is my question.
I have 2 movies both of which are dvd's and that are on 2 dvd's now
the first movie we will call dvd1 is about 1.5g and the second dvd which we will call dvd2 is about 1.0g ok now all I want to do is take dvd1 & dvd2 and put them on 1 dvd. I already used dvd dycrypter to rip both dvd's now it's just a matter of getting them both on 1 dvd.
Now I don't expect someone to help me step by step. (if you want to that cool with me) but if you can give me a url to a site or a thread that does explain this I would be very thankful.
Thanks in advance

If you want to keep menu's this would be complex. Probably have to reauthor the whole thing.
If you just want the movies you could do something like this.
You could also probably use DVD-Lab to author a new dvd. Let's assume 1 audio, no subs.
- Import the vobs into DVD-Lab
- Create a nice menu to pick the movie
I recall seeing a complex method for multi titel discs. Oh: here it is.I mean it in the nicest way. -
I am sorry I should have included this information. There are no Menu's as soon as you put the dvd in the movie starts. What I would like to do is cut the first 10 seconds from each movie and then put them on one dvd. So when I put this one dvd in my standard dvd player. I would ike to have to options when the dvd start play movie1 or play movie2 and that's it. So should I still use dvdlab or something else to accomplish this ?
Thanks

Bear in mind that I havn't done this with DVD-Lab
.
But it should work quite well. It also has a free trial, and would probably take you at most 1 hour to do this. So give it a try.
Maybe someone who is a frequent user of the product will chime in.
I think the steps would probably be:
- Import the vobs and don't let it demux
- Make 2 movies and put the appropriate assets in them
- Make a menu
- Link 'em up and compile the disc
- Burn with your favoriate burning sw (presumably the one that came with your drive)I mean it in the nicest way. -
This is a one minute job with DVD Shrink. You must have version 3 Beta5.
Just open DVD1 in the program, select reauthor, open DVD2 in the new window, select reauthor to get a third window. Simply drag the titles from each DVD into the third window and the select backup to point the the save location for the reauthored DVD files.
You can also edit each of the titles and select the audio tracks before you do the reauthor/backup step at the end. -

However, I'd guess (big guess on my part) that you would not have a menu and chapter points may also be a problem.
Having said all that, no harm in giving it a try. It's Free!I mean it in the nicest way. -
kensig,
I will give it a shot. But with DVD Shrink will I be able to create like a cheap menu just to pick which movie I want to play. For ex:
Play DVD1
Play DVD2
I guess what Imawetodd was saying -
Someone just posted this today and this is what I wrote:
This guide was just posted on this site:
http://www.dvdshrink.info/re-author-advanced.php
It shows you how to use DVD Shrink to re-author multiple titles. This guided shows how to split up the same title but, the concept is the same. Just use different titles instead of the same one.
