    Philips DVD 728.

    1. Plays every media I can possible throw at it (nonames included), including non-authored discs.

    2. Very good video quality.

    3. And it comes with "The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers". Or rather, You'll get it at the release day (oh well, not really something that should make you choose this player over another one).

  4. This is very hard to say most people never use ever DVD player out there. Only people that work in store's can really try out all DVD player's. One of my Sony DVD player's is very nice about $150.00 dollars US will play DTS in strero. Did not even know that one day was just playing with the remote. DTS in most case's there is no sound you need a reciever with DTS to hear it.

I also love my APEX three disc changer one time this player was going for $80.00 buck's in the store.

I would say Sony better for DVD play back and APEX is better for VCD and SVCD play back but both DVD player's are great
