    Is there any software out there that works with this writer. So far, the only thing I have been able to do is format and add files to a RAM disk using Instant Write 2.5. Nothing seems to recognise DVD-R disks.

    IT doesnt do DVD-R its a ram drive.

    The drive itself wont recocgnise an empty DVD-R

    Very sorry for the delay in replying to your post, I`ve not been on to collect my mail for a week. I have now solved this problem by buying a Sony U10A which does all formats exept DVD RAM. I was hoping my original request would come up with some fix for the LG as I understand that another manufacturers RAM drive will do recordable disks. This may be after doing some circuit alterations, I don`t know. Anyway, thanks so much for replying to my post and look forward to catching you again sometime.
