sony nc600 wont play dvd+r

hey im having some trouble with playing dvd+r in this player. it will work with memorex dvd+rw, but only if i burn with nero in udf/iso mode and check "force xbox compatibility". but at least it works. now if i try to burn this same way using a memorex dvd+r, it wont play. it either says teh disc is dirty or there is no disc. my question is to all those who have this player. how do you burn dvds to get them to work in this player????

What's the disc ID on the DVD+R? I know that my DVP-S500(1998) model has trouble with Optodisc...but when I stuck in a Maxell DVD+R(Richo) it ran it perfectly.

what i dont understand is i can play the dvd+rws, but not the +r. i am using nero 6 with my pioneer 106 burner. i have recordnow max, but i cant get it to work, it recognizes the 106, but not as a burner, just as a dvd rom drive. actually this is the third type of media i have used and none of them work. i have used optimum +r and -r, and tdk +r and -r, none of them would work right. i took all those back and now i have the memorex. i send my burner back also, thinking it was broken, and i got it back the other day and still cannot do it.
