    I'm wondering where people get their region-free hacks from, the producer?

    I am reading your question from a dvd player standpoint. I personally own a apex 1100W and got my region free hack from nerdout.com

    I think in the tools section, there is more information on region free. You might also want to look for your dvd player in the dvd player list and it will probably list various hacks for your particular dvd player.

    I downloaded Firmware for my Shinsonic 100-A Player...someone dumped the Firmware and hacked the macrovision and region-lock out of it. I was scared to do it but it works amazingly, even does PAL to NTSC conversion.

    Does anybody know where i can get service menu codes, or region-free codes to my sansui dv-x3000 dvd player? It is so damn hard to find. If i call to importer, does they give me the codes?
