Miglia: Directors Cut

I was wondering.. I got myself this box for converting analog to dv, but this also has a function as a preview monitor. I can watch movies I edit in Final Cut on my TV. The thing is that I also want to watch other things; movies, musicvideos and stuff on my mac. Is there a way I could do this, without importing them to FCP or anything.

I also want to know whether or not its possible to make my superdrive (Pioneer DVR-105) region free.

you could get a video card with a rca or s-vid output. i'm radeon or someone makes a good one. i always burn vcd's or dvd's so don't have any brands to reccomend.
