Hi, I'm new to the forum. I searched first and found some similar posting, but not quite exact.
I have a program for converting my VHS/camcorder home movies to DVD. All for of my DVD players will play the movies if I burn them to DVD-R. If I burn them to DVD-RW the only one that seems to play them with any consistency is my laptop. On my other players they usually start but are very choppy and eventually die, anywhere from seconds to minutes into the video.
I'm not surprised my Sony DVD (DVP-S550D) has somne trouble because I've had trouble off and on with it with VCD's. My other two are fairly new. I have an Apex that has played everything under the sun until these.
Obviously I would rather use DVD-RW since I can rewrite the disc if I don't want it or if I need to redo it for some other reason. ANyone know why DVD players have trouble with DVD-RWs?
Thanks,
James

check here first, if you're player are compatible: https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers
if they are, maybe you should try another brand of dvd-rw. -
Two of my players are listed that they should play DVD-RW. Didn't know the brand of DVD-RW could make a difference. I'll try that. Thanks.
