  1. if i run a avi, asf, or mpg file on my computer, would i be able to run a/v cable from my video card to my tv set and watch that same movie thats on my computer? and if so, would the picture look ok? would it be a full screen?

    Do you have a dual head card?

    If yes, then yes you can watch a video on your T.V. and yah, it'll be full screen.

    If no, then no.

    Quality? That depends on the quality of the file you are playing.

    There are two computers that do this at my house. My brother's PC with my old Voodoo 3 3500 TV AGP in it, and mine with a Matrox Marvel G400-TV in it. The picture quality looks good for video, but text looks like crap no matter what. Games also look nice on the TV.

    Matrox specifically says that text will not show well.

    However, there is a setting in:

    Desktop/right click for properties/settings/advanced/dualhead/desktop TV settings/click on "Enhance Text".

    I doubt that this will help much, but it should help some.

    I've noticed that certain fonts show better than others.

    Also, some colored text is better than others.
