I have the first few seasons of Deep Space Nine on dvd. I am looking to put about 5 or 6 of my favorite epsoides on one dvd-r. I tried doing it by ripping the apporite vob's and compressing them all with DVD2one sepreatly. Then i authored them all into one dvd with DVD-lab. When i try and play the dvd on my player now each epsoide stops and goes back to the menu after the first chapter ends. If i use fast foward i can get past the first chapter. I was wondering if i did something wrong or is there a better way to do this? Thanks in advance.

if you put all the vob's into the same folder...did you rename them appropriately.

and use VobEdit to edit the headers and then use ifo edit.

After that you should be able to burn with any dvd 9-5

No i put the vob's in sepreate folders and imported them into DVD-lab as seprate video clips. Then made a menu with options pointing to them. Then authored as on dvd.

If the DS9 discs are anything like the TNG ones you may not want to try and fit 5 to 6 episodes on one disc .

There are four episodes one each disc all in one title and they usually measure around 8 gigs .

So thats about 2 gigs per episode and you want 6 episodes per disc which comes out to 12 gigs .

I dont think it would be wise to try and compress 12 gigs down to 4.36 .

I cant help you with making a compilation of your favorite episodes but just wanted to warn you about the awful quality you'll get with that much compression .

Yea i have thought about that. They are just like TNG. I have decided to re-encode all of the with tmpge at using the low-resolution in the project wizard. I will burn to an RW and see how it comes out. Thanks for the advice.
