Hey all,
I'm trying to back-up my X-Files season 1 dvds with dvdshrink 2.3 or whatever the latest version is, and use Nero to burn them back onto dvd-r.
I found that I can put 3 episodes on each disk. (The dvds have 4 episodes each) I did the first 3 just fine.
When I get to the second dvd, I still have the 4th episode from the first dvd, so I put that one as well as the first 2 episodes on the 2nd dvd all in the same folder. I re-named the VTS files to put them in order 1-3. There are files created in the ripping process called vts_01_0.IP0 and vts_01_0.BUP. When I burn these with the VTS files with Nero, they can play fine, but after the first episode is done, it doesn't automatically go to the second episode. The same thing for the third.
So what do I need to do with these .bup and .ip0 files? (not the 2 that come with each episode, but the other 2 that are just by themselves) Does the second dvd-r need the .bup and .ipo files that came with the dvd with the first episode or the .bup and .ipo files off the second dvd or both or neither?
My dvd player will still play the episodes but I have to hit SKIP right after an episode ends to get to the next episode, otherwise the disk just STOPS.
The first dvd with the first 3 episodes worked great and skips to the next episodes automatically, but now I don't know what to do with all these episodes that are by themselves, as far as the folder structure and using NERO.
Thanks in advance for anyone's help and I hope this makes sense.
Bill
