I just purchased this new drive, and I have already made two backup copies. I have two DVD players, one 5 years old and a 2 years old player. The 5 year old will not play the movies, but the newer one will. Also, the computer that this was bunred on also will not play these DVD copies, even using the DVD burner drive itself. My computer run Windows XP and is exactly year year old.
What do I need to run these DVDs on my computer?
Thank you in advance.

btw, what burning proggie u using??? -
Yes, i have both programs installed. Now, when I attempt to play the DVD in my computer, it says that the region code is wrong. I am using Instant Cd + DVD to burn my dvds, the program that came with the burner. I use DVD Shrink to rip the DVDs first.

the older version of DVDshrink (v2.3 and earlier) does not remove region protection...
so, why don't you try ripping with DVDdecryptor...it'll remove RC and RCE for you...
