    Did the episodes seem shorter to anyone else?? The episodes were longer than what they usually show on PBS, but there was a scene that I thought I had seen, but wasn't on the DVD. The scene comes right before he drives the car from on top of it. It's when he gets into the store for the big sale, and the chair he wants an old lady is in it. Am I making that scene up or what? I thought I remembered it from the HBO show run.

    * Phoenix Nights
    * Bo Selecta!
    * Only Fools and Horses
    * Faulty Towers
    * Some Mothers Do Have 'Em

    Are you being Served?

    The best serial I have seen till date - be it British, American, Austalian, or India is "Yes, Minister" followed equally well by "Yes, Prime Minister". Hats off to BBC and Jonathan Lynn and Anthony Jay (if I remeber the names correctly). I have each and every episode. I can never forget the episode called "The Compassionate Society".

    The second best was "Seinfeld".

    "To the Manor Born" was also an excellent serial.

    Yes, Prime minister + yes minister was one of the best comedy series I have seen- very smart, very witty. Another great one, which you won't have seen unless by some miracle it has been sold overseas, is called "The Games". It is an australian mock documentry on the people organising the 2000 olympic games. It was hilarious!

    Well, us in the the states can't get all the shows and the ones we do come on at 1:00 in the morning where I live. So, they coulc even pass off bad ones as good ones here. There is little basis of comparision.

    But I think Red Dwarf is the bomb! I can't help think about it when I watch Robot Wars (hosted by Craig Charles) or watching the tomb radier movies (with Chris Barrie as the buttler).

    The Key
    One Of Us

    There are many more - it's being repeated on UK Gold at the moment.

    I definitely remember that scene but can't recollect the episode. There seems to be no apparent reason why this scene should be omitted out from the DVD.

    One of the most hilarious episodes was when Mr. Bean is at the beach and wants to put on the swimming trunks …

    How did you like the epsiode, where Mr. Bean ordered a "steak tartare" without knowing that this was raw hashed meat and trying to get rid of it?
    Typical British Humor.

    Precisly!In Germany it was called "Inspektor Fowler:Härter als die Polizei erlaubt". (harder than police permits- roughly translated).

    Wasn't there an episode where MR Bean wanted to play the game where you put a coin in and it pushes it into other quaters and they may fall. His coin doesn't make them fall, so he hits the back of it, and some kid gets all of them. He then places another coin in it, but it's the only one there. Was this a Mr Bean skit??

    This was certainly a documentary about British Amusement Halls.
    You can watch this situation there all the time.

    Just remembered the one where he dips twigs in marmite to make twiglets

    or when he puts fireworks in that paint can to decorate his living room, then discovers he put the doorknob in the fruitbowl
