  1. Can I skip TMPGEnc programs Analyzing part when I am encoding SuperVideoCD film?

Because of that the process takes twice longer than without it.
Why TMPGEnc doesn't analyze VCD's but analyzes SVCD's

I searched from Options, but couldn't find anything that would take the analyze process away, can I take it away by editing some TMPGEnc file, or something?

  2. You may be using the VBR(2-pass) encoding method. Switch this to CBR and it will not analyze anymore and go straight to the encoding.

If you're using the wizard, it's the drop down list box on the first screen of the wizard at the bottom right.

If you're not using the wizard, there is a button on the main window called SETTINGS. Select that, then select the VIDEO tab. In the video tab about half way down is an option called RATE CONTROL MODE. select CBR from this setting.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Thanks.
I'll try it next time, after the one that is coming now is finished.

Thanks a lot! This saves 50% of time.

  4. @bodomjuho,

the analyzing pass helps TMPGEnc to achieve the avg. bitrate you set...hence, this much longer 2-pass VBR has better filesize prediction (based on avg. bitrate you set)

    ------

if you're using CQ, there is NO avg. bitrate to set.... so, filesize is not nearly as predictable as 2-pass, but it's half the encode time.
