  1. Hi

there was a post a while back about this printer ... but I cant seem to find it anymore ...

anyway, for those who use this printer.

How difficult is it to set up , how does the software interface work. is it like other disc printing programs where you get an image of a disc & you simply overlay your image to be printed on that template & then print.

Can you do what i now do with labels & that is simply overlay an oversize image onto the template & print that & then once you peel the label you get a perfectly fitted image, no blank spaces etc. I have tried simply to scan the image on the original disc & print than but I never seem to be ablem to get it exactly right., so I have resorted to scanning the cover & printing that onto a label. Much easier.

if you do it this way what happens when the printer wants to print where there is no disc, ie on the outside of the image, do you end up with a mess of ink all over the place or something.

any help appreciated as I am interested in importing one of these printers into Aust (as Epson dont market them here.)

    cheers

  2. How easy is it....
Its simple and the quality is great.
When you install the printer it adds a little program to do disks allows you to resize the pics and specify the size of the printable area of the disks you are using so you dont print where you dont want to.
Hardest bit is sus-sing out how you get the disks into the printer... As Epsom forgot to show you how, but its simple enough.
All in all a dam good buy for £179 in the Uk. Its a discontinued product now superseded by the 950 which is £300+ so if you can get one go for it you wont be disappointed.
    Not bothered by small problems...
