  1. A local A/V store has both and the guy said he could sell me the 985 for the same price as the 75 and he claimed the 985 was a "better made machine with better chips etc"

Is there any truth to this, should I jump on the chance or run?

I thought I read some unflattering reviews of the 985 or was I dreaming? Does it just need some firmware upgrades??

Let me know what you think....

The store I'm going to has an after hours sale for their credit card holders THIS Sunday so they are offering nice financing and some nice discounts.

    All thoughts are appreciated.

The 985 is an older model than the 75 model and many people had problems with the 985 although the last batch or so were supposedly A-OK but I would be leary of buying it if it were me.

He probably just wants to get rid of the 985 since it is an older model
