    Hi,

I am trying to create menu structure for vob files (main movie reauthored
using DVD Shrink) using TMPGenc DVD Author. In "Source Setup", I
tried to "Add DVD Video" files and gave the VIDEO_TS directory.
It showed me the "Title" with full movie of 2 hours and 46 minutes and
the audio track. I selected this and while creating menu structure I
noticed, it loaded only 1 hour 53 minutes of movie.

Any help why it loaded only part of the movie?

    Thanks.

  3. Well I have an idea, whether its correct or not is another matter.

Is you mpeg2 file ntscfilm ie 23.976 fps.

I have not used DVD author but DVD workshop has problems with NTSCfilm files where you cannot view to the end of the file, which makes adding chapters impossible after a certain point. Although the whole file is there, and it burns and plays ok.

Could be that DVD author has a similar problem with NTSCfilm mpegs.

    Craig,

I am not using mpeg2 file. I am using vob files ripped from a NTSC dvd.

DVD Author is showing only half the movie and contains only half the
movie. When I burn it on to a DVD, only half the movie is recorded.

    Appreciate any other suggestions.

    Lal.

  5. Is it posibaly to large?
Was it maybe a DVD 9 disk and ou have like a 6gig movie so your only getting the first 4 gigs and loose the second half?

Probably not, but thought I'd toss it out if you had'nt looked at the size or shrunk it.

Also, you shure you have the whole movie? I mostly capture, but I have done a rip or two. I have had a problem with not getting the whole movie once or twice. Either like a vob was missing in the middle, or an end chopped off. That's the way I got it off the disk, not a authoring or editing problem, was problem with ripping.

    overloaded_ide,

Well, I have the whole movie. I can view the full movie with powerDVD
    on my pc.

I don't think file size matters. Anyways, all the vobs amount to < 5GB.

    Thanks.
