Just a thought. Not trying to be an agitator but it may be an interesting topic.
I hold two like a wartime badge. I'm concerned about inequalities based on the mood of a mod at any given moment.
They do a great job but they are human. Mine were assigned by a mod who has since admitted that it has been a while for him and he needs some time to get in the flow.
Any opinions to help this wonderful board as it relates to our wonderful exchange of ideas would be appreciated.

Nope...not saying that. Saying that there are different tolerence levels which can be confusing. Just looking for the median at a minimum.
Actually it looks like a new toy that the mods need to gather and set standards that are consistant. Just my opinion. If its wrong and I get another yellow then so be it. -

Actually one mod gave me both yellow cards. Not a problem. I can live with it. But are there different standards based on the mod?

Next personal freedom is freedom to do the things you should, not do the things you want. Trust me, there is a huge difference! If you were censured by a moderator, try to find out why, see things from his side, and for goodness skaes, GET OVER IT! You are hanging on to this junk like old, ugly, luggage. I.E., you do not need either one!

Getting back to the topic.
Yellow carded posters unite.
Is it the mood of the mod? Not too sure - but the standards should be consistant across the mods. That's simply good business - and this site has turned into a business - in my opinion.
Again I'm not complaining and not trying to be rude. If my view is a problem then let me know - in a very polite manner please. -

but one or two questionable flags, out of how many? what percentage of yellow flags has the mod handed out inappropriately?
and how many of those were truly inappropriate, and how many are sour grapes on the part of the person with the yellow flag?
personally, I feel the mods do a good job in a position where they are railed at if they flag someone, and railed at if they don't. this came up a couple of weeks ago, rather exhaustively, with a poll and a couple of related threads on whether or not they were doing their jobs effectively. as I recall, it was pretty good majority in favor of thier conduct, with a vocal minority of people who either felt they got bumrapped, or felt that since they got tagged, "well xxx and yyy and zzz were doing the same thing, why didn't you flag them????" (with a smaller sect picking the TGPO option out of contrariness).
but then again, I could just be saying this as a member of the Old Boys Club, the secret Illuminatus that runs this board... as I've been accused previously...(if so, where's my decoder ring?)

Funny... those were the first two cards I handed out. I have since handed out one since. I have never seen such a scene. You were uncivilized and bombastic making one harassing post after another. You got two because even after a yellow and a PM you kept doing it.
I'm not quick to tag anyone, but I just could not stand for your behavior. If you wanted me to I could have yellowd each of your posts since most of them had been against forum policy and you would have been kicked off the board. I just wanted the behaviour to stop, I didn't want a member gone.
Implying that I'm out of it won't help your case any. I think everyone heeds a siesta from the forums on occasion. I'm not sure where you are getting the idea that I "need time to get into the flow". You admit that you earned both cards fair and square.
As for a "new toy" mods for the longest time kept track of individual problem users who did not need banning. They were warned and their name went on a list ( a thread in the moderator area ). I was actually the one to start the idea. It was for users who just made bad choices but were generally good people for whom banning would have been too severe. This new system is a refinement of that; Allowing mods to more easly keep track of those who we want to keep around, if they can keep their act together.
Are you trying to say that it's not fair that some people can get away with AUP violations and you didn't?
Police don't have the time or energy to catch every criminal either, does that mean that punishing the ones they do catch is biased?
Mods make judgment calls, and I have not one seen them "jump the gun" in fact I find most calls very reserved. Mods are not moody not are they being personal. They have been selected by baldrick becuase of the help and support they have brought to the forums.
If you have a personal question about me, PM. Otherwise I would drop the topic all together, as it's not helping anything around here. If you feel that my moderation is in err, please by all means PM baldrick. -
think about what your post is about. this is not latest news.
just one more comment:
His name was MackemX
What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -

I realize we kissed and made up but I'm curious for future reference.
I'm not sure you could have yellowed each of my posts as you claim but I'm curious. Please show me because I want to learn. Looking forward to it. Thanks! -

I actually expected one for one of my posts, even though the thread didn't get out of control. I messed up and didn't read the rulz to a forum (sticky). I PM a mod , asked about the rule and after then apologized. I still expected a yellow card though, and it would of made me think twice about making a post. Everyone can screw up once in awhile and I think the mods said if you're good they'll remove the cards as time goes by.
my 2 cents -
