You'd make a good politican Craig.

"It's funny," said one companion, "when he was young he put on his sister's underwear. But he died like a man."
    Anyway....

Krzysztof Mach says, "This story is not entirely true. I am Polish and I remember reading about this incident in newspapers. Two guys got drunk and started to make macho type bets. You overestimate the wealth of polish peasants if you believe they were using a chain saw. I remember the bet was resolved using an axe. One man laid his head down and bet the one with an axe that he was not be brave enough to make the cut."

  5. I still don't think it's very funny (I was just emphasizing that word, I was not trying to imply that the guy thought it was funny that his mate had chopped his own head off), it might seem funny to someone on the outside looking in. But if this happened to a friend of mine, I would not be making jocular quotes. The guy chopped his own head off, can you imagine it

  7. And with a chainsaw even!
Guess it was still running after the idiot cut off his foot.
He probably would have come to his senses if he had to start the thing!
Just what is this reality thing anyway?

Some people are just idiots!! I personally don't need to prove myself to anyone by cutting my foot off. Nor do I feel the need to prove myself by cutting my head off. I wonder if he thought he would liv through it.

  10. I wonder if alcohol impaired the dearly beheadeds' judgement?
I've been drunk but never to the point of self inflicted wounds,I guess it's natures way of thinning the herd.

This story reminds me of the cartoon where Bugs and Daffy try to out do each other on stage.Well Daffy wins by blowing himself up.
Bugs:"they love you do it again"
    Daffy:"I know,I know...but I can only do it once"

I've heard the same story, but with Russian peasants. I'm not entirely sure I believe either.

This classic just cracks me up: Lawn Chair Larry.

Wow. The Larry story end on such an good note.

He never married and had no children. Larry hiked into the forest and shot himself in the heart on October 6, 1993. He died at the age of 44.

Ed Greany adds................ He recorded a song called "Lawn Chair that Flew" c. 1982 ASCAP and gave me a personal copy. I invited him to be a guest speaker at a later REACT Council meeting in Corona, CA. The CB recording is not copyrighted............
