  1. I just purchased the Liteon 2001 DVD player and I have a problem. When I play videos on it, theres a lot of jitter at the top of the picture. I have it hooked up to a Sony TV.

I hooked it up to my other TV which is a mitsubishi and it doesn't have the jitter problem.

Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

    Thanks

  2. the Cyberhome 500 did something similar and they called it a mismatch with SOME tv's. They would rebuild any unit that was RMA'd to them.
You might be seeing something similar with your setup. I'd get a hold of their tech support and see if they have any suggestions. They seem to be really interested in supporting this machine.

  3. I have to agree that they seem pretty interested in supporting the machine so far, perhaps because this is their first entry into the home electronics market & they want to earn recognition as a first class manufacturer in this extremely competetive market. I was shocked when I sent an e-mail to them about the firmware around noon last Friday and received a reply by 8 PM answering my question perfectly. I figured if I was lucky I'd hear fromm them Monday at the earliest. Let's hope this continues. I am not well aquainted with Liteon but I did read somewhere that they make a lot of new firmware for their products and if this is true probably good news for us LVD - 2001 owners.

  6. If you don't have some players setup properly they just ignore the digital outs and your reciever won't get any 5.1 info. Same with the analog outs, some need to be set to 5.1 analog instead of stereo to get them to work.
When some of my machines get reset for whatever reason I have to go in and set things back up to get it all working in 5.1 mode again.
A lot of the Chinese machines dont do any downconverting at all so if a settings wrong you don't get anything.
