Hi everyone -
Really basic question. I'm sure that this is just a drag & drop matter but I can't figure out how (or where) to do it:
I've set up my chapters and menus for a DVD in DWS but during my 'finish' testing, the previous and next chapters are inactive during playback. Is this somehting I need to set up during authoring? If so - where do I do it? I don't want to have to select a new chapter strictly from the menu. I want to jump chapters during playback as well.
As always, many thanks in advance. What would I do without you

There must be something wrong in the way you did it. I got it to work just fine.

eppik, the previous and next buttons don't work in DVDWS's preview mode. (Strange but true.) You will be able to skip forward and backward chapter-by-chapter on your stand-alone or software player. If you have an RW disc, you could burn it and test this out. Otherwise, you'll just have to take my word for it. -
Hey guys -
Scheif - that was my question. I just thought it was strange that in preview I couldn't jump from my current playback position to the next chapter. I haven't got an RW handy at the moment so yup - I'll take your word for it. FT Shark - are you saying you were able t ojump chapters right in DWS or are you saying that it worked fine on your standalone player?
Thanks again for the info guys. Cheers.

Yes - I can use my FORWARD and BACKWARD keys - once the disc is authored - to jump to the next or the previous chapter relative to the video segment that is playing.
But I am unable to use my numbered keypad to jump to random chapters during playback of a segment.
At least, I've never been able to do that on my players.
