dvd to svcd: sound pb. please help me!!

(ffmpegx 0.0.7d, macosx last version, imac 17" g4 800)
I have this problem:

In VCL I see and hear the movie (video_ts).
In ffmpegx when i push play before encode i have only video and not sound.
if i try to encode at last of encoding I have only .mpv file (i can see it with vcl) and an error on .mpa file

when i check for audio track this is the result:

audio stream: 0 audio format: mpeg1 (stereo) language: unknown aid: 0

so i choose 0 in track menu

i try to select 'invert mapping' but nothing
