I have created a good clip using dvdx 2.2 but didn't save my settings. The result was excellent, however i can't seem to repeat such a good result. A few questions...
Output settings - bit rate control - bit rate modulation. The slider moves left to right. Am i right to assume that all the way left allows the encoder to change the bit rate by a larger amount for high motion scenes?
... - general parameters performance quality. What does this do? if i select fastest will it encode fast with less quality or slow with more quality?
Which is better for quality - multipass or original?
Pre processing source - What is recomended here?
Scene change threshold. for an action movie should i set it to a low figure like 5% ?
source interlace. how should i encode for a divx to be played on a television / projector?
Ultimately i don't care how long it takes to encode, but would like a better quality rip. What settings do others use?
TIA.![]()
