  1. your various tutorials have been of infinite help so far, is there any chance we will see one for Sizzle from you? It would be ever-so-appreciated, and it'd like, bring you major good karma for sure.....truth to tell, you ought to write a full on book, "Mac DVD/VCD/SVCD/AVI/DIVX for Dummies Using Shareware"...I'd happily pay for that....but if not, still much thanks for all the help you provide me and everyone else in this forum....

Thanks! (though doing my moderating duties - i would have appreciated this in a PM....)

BUT, there is something to be said

Sorry for the delay in updating the website.... Notice it still says Toast 5.2 in my tutorials! BLAH

But school is back up for me (going for a medical degree now) so I only have time during my mid semester breaks to really do work on the site.

    BUT! with that said....
It is in the works to get sizzle and some other apps up there.

So you would pay for a tutorial book huh? hmmm.... maybe an eBook should be my next adventure. YEAH and a link to paypal ......

nah, im working on it, it will be a little delayed but it will get up there!

PS. what is it exactly you want to know about sizzle? Or are you just asking for a general "walkthrough"
To be honest, i only find things out by trial and error and educated guesses. Im still learning the app as im trying to build the tutorial, but if you have a specific question..... shoot.

  3. Okay, specific question, 4 episodes of TV, already encoded to MPEG2 via ffmpgX, no menus needed, just play 'em all in order...each ep is about 450 megs....no subs, no nothing fancy, just play 'em in order, or if basic control over which eps plays is simple, that's fine...
You know, the e-book would be a good idea, seriously, I'd buy it to have all the tips and tricks you video guys know all spelled out...

    Sure, piece of cake
    1. demux your mpeg file so you get .m2v and .m1a (or .mp2 will sufice)
    2. open sizzle
    3. Under CHAPTERS tab, choose M2V Elementary Streams for your input format.
    4. where it says VIEW/EDIT FILES for track, make sure it says VIDEO TRACK and then click on INPUT FILE PATH and slect the .m2v
    5. click now on AUDIO TRACKS, then choose format (mp2) usually, unless you have something else.
6 (TRICKY PART ABOUT SIZZLE) Go back to CHAPTERS, this time selecting VIEW/EDIT FILES for track, make sure it says AUDIO TRACK (XXX) whatever you chose for your audio file (mp2) for example.
    7. now browse for the audio track.

repeat for however many mpeg file you have. Chapters are noted by each mpeg file, so if you have 2 there will only be 1 chater (etc.)

when they are all loaded, go to DISC and make sure the format is good for what you want, (I typically leave default) but if you are in another conuntry or something you may want to change it.

Then click CREATE DISC IMAGE and watch as the progress bar shows yoru disk image being made.

    Works beautifully I think....
Actually that is basically the tutorial for the most part.

    enjoy

If i had all the time in the world, then yea - who wouldnt.

But isnt it fun to figure this stuff out for youselves?
Hey, I was all like you all once - stumbled in here and got help on a project. Before I knew it I was helping others in the same area's I worked on.

Its all trial and error baby. Just try it and see what happens, then decude what you think you should do next based on the results you get.

But, its not always that easy, so I will spread the wealth as much as I can.
