terminator & the matrix

after watching the animatrix, parts of which are suppose to be mini-prequels to the matrix..... they kinda remind me of the terminator series

for some reason, i keep on thinking that the terminator series occured right before the start of the first matrix.....weird

I also made that same type of connection. Like in the first Matrix movie when they are talking about the machines taking over I always picture the Terminator battle scene.
