this works and i was able to download the streaming video but the only thing is i can't fastforward or rewind. is this normal? i would really like to fastforward/rewind. if someone could help me pleez!

It could be that it is a streaming file (albeit recorded) which probably (using assumptions and logic here) doesn't have the necessary stuff to allow search, ffwd, etc. You could try converting through virtualdub (or similar) to DivX (or similar).
