I have 2 mpg files 796mbs/806mbs that i extracted from cue/bin files with isobuster, but instead of burning as two separarate svcd CD-R disks, can i somehow convert them into a format (maybe mpg 2) or something, so that i could burn them both onto one DVD+R or DVD+RW, and have a final product of one almost seemless movie that can be played on a standalone dvd player?
If all that is possible, then how many full playing movies can you fit onto a "video dvd" or VDVDwithout losing too much quality? Is it possible to make a dvd disk that would contain Terminator 1, 2, 3 and play them from start to finish, one after the other continuously?

Here's what I would do with the two files:
1. Join them together with "MPEG Tools" within TMPGenc.
2. Take the resulting file and re-encode it to DVD Specs (there is a setting for this in TMPGenc)
3. Use an authoring program such as ULead DVD Movie Factory (Full Function trial available) and then burn!
It's all smooth sailing from them.
And, yes, you could put Terminator 1, 2 and 3 on one DVD, but the quality would be worse than or equal to VHS quality (*blech*).
So there it is, reply if you have any questions! -
i was all set to try this out, and when i try to encode my computer crashes and reboots, ok, this is what i have installed on my laptop: Gordian Knot and all the codecs and plugins, Divx 2.1 and codec, some of the nemo 5 beta build.
My Sony Vaio laptop is only 3 months old, either i have too many codecs, or its overheating, plus i've recently reformatted the c drive, and tried reinstalling the codecs one at a time, thinking that it would avoid the crashes, with only tmpgenc on there it crashes. Now i stay where it has recently been 117 degrees during the day, and it only goes to about 95 at night, and because i leave my comptuer on 24/7, do u think it could be an overheating issue, even though it's practically brand new? I have been keeping an external fan blowing on it and still no go. Any suggestions? -
