I think i should explain better
I have an xvid file, video frame rate 23/ frames per second. I already tried the tmpgenc route with this file, extracting audio first with virtualdub. The outcome was a very jerky picture. So i thought i would put this same file through uleadmoviefac, and let this proggie multiplex the audio and vid, and like i said above, no sound at halfway. Please help, i am so near to getting my files to burn to dvdr.

Might want to also do this in TMPGenc - in TMPGenc go to options, environmental settings, VFAPI plugins, and up the priority on direct show multimedia file reader to 2 not -2. To do this right click on show multimedia file reader and select higher priority until it goes up to 2.

Is your Xvid file 1x700mb or 2x700mb joined with Vdub or something. I had a problem with Xvid/Divx files when i joined them and tried to convert. The audio messed up right at the join. I now convert both halves separatly and join them while while authoring.

Cool, i extracted the audio with virtual dub and replaced the audio in ulead, its come out perfect
))
I am now doing a second file in exactly the same way, only to find that the audio is slightly out of sync with video, is there a way to get it in sync? thx so far for all your help
