Hi all.
Okay! First things first. I'm an idiot for not being able to figure this one out...![]()
Second, I'm interested in fitting 6 hours on a single DVD. I've been reading a lot about KDVD which can allow this to happen with some very decent quality (i've seen the samples) or fit more than twice as much at a lesser quality using the HALF version.
I have the msi files, and the KDVD options are selectable in TMPGenc for me, but I'm not sure about the other settings that I'm supposed to use. When I try to continue, it says its going to take up a certain amount of space, but it seems like I wouldn't come close to fitting six hours on a DVD. Right before I start the conversion process, it says my 1 hr film file will take 2 gigs. What am I doing wrong? What option settings in TMPGenc am I missing? I see there is a CQ rating where I can set it between 1 and 100. What do you recommend to be a good setting?
Also, how do I handle the audio? I understand that it must be dealt with separately. Ok, how do I do this? (I like to use BeSweet to convert wav to ac3, so I just need to know how I get that converted wav file).
If someone could lead me the way through this, that would be great.![]()
Or if there's a guide around that answers all of this (including all the specific settings to be done in tmpGenc) , please point me towards it.
Thanks in advance.

I suggest you take a look at the KDVD forums, to learn how to do things. You have to use size prediction with ToK to select the right CQ to fit 6 hours, and use a Motion Adapted script. All this info you can find on the KDVD Forums:
