I am encoding an avi using the Doom guide to produce an mpv and an mp2 file ready for DVD authoring, from a DivX avi.
Done this many times so I assume settings etc are fine. The problem is, before going through DVD2SVCD my video is 1hr 45 minutes, yet after DVD2SVCD the resulting mpv (or bbmuxed) file becomes 2hrs 4 minutes! The audio is also 'stretched' and as a result suffers a pitch change.
If I save the original audio off the avi I can then stretch it to fit the video without much damage using Sound Forge, but this isn't a solution, its just patching up.
So my questions are a) why is it changing the video length? and b) how can I stop it (maybe there is a way of 'shrinking' the mpv back to original length)?
Thanks in advance,
Messa
